I love walking in the Golden Gate Park and thought I'd share my route. The park has SO MANY great things to see and is so big that sometimes you don't even know what all is in there. I blogged about my walk (here), which is still a cool walk, but this is my new favorite walk. So here it is....
There are trails through the trees but I stay on the concrete path and follow the street. I'm not sure how all the trails connect yet (or if they do connect) so I stick with what I know.

This waterfall is kinda hidden and unexpected. It took me awhile to run into it.

The water from the waterfall flows down a brook for quite a ways then....

...flows into this pond.

After the pond there are lots of meadows and woodsy views with tall trees and lots of green.

And soon after there is this pond with a nice view of the city in the background.

Shortly after the pond, there is a fence with Bison in it (kinda random but cool). And, not too far down the road you will see my personal favorite, the windmill and tulip garden.

And, just a few feet away is the beach.

From the Rose Garden to the beach is probably 1.5-2 miles. Once I get to the beach I turn around and come back the same way so altogether its about 3-4 miles....but well worth it!
Love the blog. SF is just a little prettier than Houston. Good pics. I bet SF doesn't have those beautiful bayous that we have here. Miss you guys. Uncle John
