You could say I'm a bit of a worrier (It runs on my moms side of the family:) So after the Japan earthquakes and after watching some "what if" show (about what if there was a 10.0 earthquake), I decided it was time to get these earthquake survival kits. I'm just being prepared!
They each serve an important role. The backpack is for the car and is meant to help 2 people survive (sorry if you happen to be in the car with us when it happens....you're on your own....just kidding...we'd share). The little case is a little one person kit for Brent's work. Yes, he is embarrassed to have it so it is hidden under his desk. The big bucket is for our house and has enough stuff in it for two people to rough it for awhile.
And, don't worry, we have a meeting place...and a plan B if I'm across the bridge at work. So, if an earthquake does happen, and if we can avoid getting crushed by buildings, etc....you should know that we should be ok.
Ha. I love it. And I love that you are REALLY prepared for any situation...I would have probably bought one for the house and then been stuck in the car when the quake hit. Too funny. But you'll be glad you have it...but hopefully not :)
ReplyDeleteSO relieved to hear that you finally came up with your plan B....now, have yall discussed what you would do in the event that the rose garden is swallowed into a sinkhole? Just saying, cover your bases.
ReplyDeleteLinds, thanks for bringing that up! I will start thinking of a plan c. I am also thinking I need to write plan a, b, and c down for me and Brent to keep in our survival kits so we don't get confused.
